GGH provides co-ed teams. We currently offer teams for:
GGH is proud to be part of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU), a nationwide competitive basketball program designed to help players grow and compete at a higher level. Please keep in mind:
We host Fall & Winter and Spring & Summer seasons, giving players multiple opportunities throughout the year to train and compete. New team fees are required for each season.
Intensity: Seasons can be intensive and are designed for athletes who are passionate about the sport and want to prepare for the high school and collegiate level.
A tournament is considered a weekly game or competition. Our Elite Teams may also participate in out-of-town tournaments in Oregon, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
Development Team players focus on practices, skill-building, and local opportunities. Travel is not required.
Elite Team players are expected to travel for tournaments and must uphold professionalism and the GGH Code of Conduct. Travel fees are required for each player.
Elite Teams have a different package than the development fe
GGH Elite: Base Team Fee – covers uniforms, practice access, and team operations.
GGH Elite: Tournament Fees – additional costs for each tournament entered.
GGH Elite: Travel Fees – required for Elite players attending out-of-town tournaments.

GGH Development: Tournament Fees
In addition to team fees, families are responsible for travel fees, which cover lodging, transportation, and tournament entry costs. These expenses vary by event and location, and details will be communicated as early as possible before each trip.
All players are expected to uphold the GGH Code of Conduct while traveling. Representing GGH on the road is a key part of preparing our athletes for the high school and collegiate basketball experience.
Each player receives:
All players should come in supportive basketball shoes for practice and for games.
We believe basketball is family-oriented. Teams participate in team-building activities, and we welcome a Team Mom or Team Dad for each team to help with structure, support, fundraisers, bonding events, and travel organization. We also have events planned throughout the year to support bonding opportunities.
We prioritize student-athletes. Coaches check in on grades and school behavior regularly. Please do not use basketball as punishment—we partner with families to reinforce expectations and support your child’s growth both on and off the court.
GGH uses a progressive discipline system. Minor issues (like being late or not following instructions) get a warning and coaching reminder. Repeated or more serious violations can lead to reduced playing time, suspensions, or meetings with parents. Severe misconduct (like fighting, bullying, or substance use) may result in immediate removal from the team. Our goal is always to teach respect, accountability, and teamwork—not just to punish.
We use several ways to keep you informed:
We encourage all families to download the Band App so you don’t miss important updates.
GGH Basketball is supported by The Stephens Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to battling environmental injustices while uniting the community to revitalize and empower youth and families.
All coaches are required to attend GGH training sessions and commit to following our GGH Code of Conduct. If you ever have a concern, please contact our Program Director, Coach Derrick Stephens, directly.
